Mac Kid Review - Winter Fest OC

By Dana Reich, publisher for Macaroni KID Yorba Linda, Fullerton, Placentia & Anaheim Hills January 6, 2024

Our family had an incredible time at Winter Fest OC!  Such a family-fun event for kids of all ages!  Upon walking into the event, we quickly found the Snow Play area.  I was thankful they limit the number of people in the area at once so it keeps it from getting too crowded and makes it a lot of fun!  There was an area to create and throw snow balls, a small tube slide, and even a snow tube ride!

Afterwards, we made our way to the North Pole Experience, which was just that!  So well decorated and fun to look at from every angle.  There was a large model train set up, a place to color, a place to write and mail out letters to Santa, and a telephone booth where you could call Santa!

There was also a couple of small side shows - we caught part of one where volunteers were asked to open one of many numbered doors and put together two toy robots.  Another one directly across from it included turning a key and making a ballerina or nutcracker dance, and having a dance party!

Next, we made our way over to the rides.  There were so many to choose from, including a ferris wheel ride from where you could see the entire Winter Fest OC landscape.  I'm mildly afraid of heights, so I didn't want to look at it for too long, but my less fearful family members loved it!

My sons also enjoyed the boat ride, where they rode together and had a blast!

My kids also enjoyed the bounce house area, carnival games and, of course, the food!  We decided to have dinner there and were glad we did.  They also had some dessert carts which were amazing - my kids decided on the fried oreos and a delicious donut.  We will be adding this to the rotation of winter fun events for the family!

*We received complimentary tickets in exchange for a review of our experience.  This did not affect our review of the event - we completely enjoyed our time!*
