Not in the mood for a spray pool but want the kids to stay cool? Here are some kid-friendly beaches that are family friendly!

Little Corona Del Mar

3100 Ocean Blvd
Corona Del Mar, CA 92625

Such a great little beach! You can park in the neighborhood and the beach is a short walk down a ramp to get to a small cove with low, gentle waves. During low tide, there are small tide pools where you can explore and view all the little sea creatures who live there. There are restrooms and showers available (pre-COVID, current status unknown).

Mother's Beach in Long Beach

5839 East Appian Way
Long Beach, CA 90803

This is one of our favorite little beaches! The parking lot, to the sand, and to the beach are reasonably distanced so you're not walking a long way to and from the beach. There are lifeguards on duty, the waves are gentle and there's also a park there if you get tired of the beach. It does get crowded and the parking lot (paid parking) can fill up, so get there early!

Marina Park in Newport

1600 W Balboa Blvd

Newport Beach, CA 92663

Another great beach for younger children! This one has little to no waves so it's perfect for toddlers and younger babies! It also has a play area where children can play if they're done with water play! Parking is paid parking by the hour.
